After halftime, I once again find myself in Dawson’s big athletic hoodie. It goes down to my knees. He’s sitting behind me in the bleachers, and I’m leaning back between legs.
Dawson slides a cool hand under the sweatshirt. I assume to get warmed up.He casually strokes my side and then my stomach.
It feels nice, so I snuggle closer to him.
But as soon as I snuggle in closer, his hand dives down the front of my shorts. His back is leaned tightly into mine and his chin is resting on my shoulder. I turn my head just a little toward him and warn, “Dawson.”He gives me adorable kiss on the cheek and pushes his hand further down.
Then he starts rubbing me, um, down there.
At first I think he’s just sort of teasing me. Trying to get me to go back to his room. But he very quickly stops teasing and gets down to business.I know I should tell him to stop. He should not have his hand down my shorts when we’re in the bleachers at a football game.
But because his sweatshirt is so big, no one can tell.
And what can I say?I like it.
It feels really good and really naughty.
I try to keep my breathing steady, but he can tell that it’s not working. Or, well, that what he’s doing is definitely working.
I can feel his mouth form a smile on my neck.
I grab his bicep tightly.Then close my eyes and miss a few plays. We don’t stand up and cheer when someone makes a big play. I can’t even clap. I’m breathing heavily. Gripping his bicep with all my might. Begging him with my grip not to stop.
The team scores, everyone stand up to cheer, and Dawson takes that moment to do a little scoring of his own. And then, I find myself cheering too, but for different reasons.
OHHH, GOOOOO TEAM!“You’re so naughty,” I whisper to him.“You so liked it. Can we please go back to my room? Like, now. We’ll just kiss, I swear.”“We won’t just kiss and you damn well know it.”

Jillian Dodd grew up on a farm in Nebraska, where she developed a love for Midwestern boys and Nebraska football. She has drank from a keg in a cornfield, attended the University of Nebraska, got to pass her candle, and did have a boy ask her to marry him in a bar. She met her own prince in college, and they have two amazing children, a Maltese named Sugar Bear, and two Labrador puppies named Camber Lacy and Cali Lucy.

Kristin Bailey grew up in the middle of the San Joaquin Valley in California. As a kid she enjoyed visiting the beach, camping and skiing with her two brothers.

Now she is a military wife and mother of two young children. She is also terrible about spoiling her pets. She has one fluffy mutt, two cats who think they own the world, and a fish tank with a quartet of fat fish, and two secretive striped ninja-assassin snails.

Review

Glitch is set in a world where the atmosphere above ground is deadly and living underground is the only option. People are implanted with a chip that controls human emotion, effectively making them living breathing robots. 

Zoe is our protagonist and she has found herself 'glitching'. That is her connection to the Link (a network that the chip connects all people too) fails, letting her experience emotions and life for "real". Having grown up with the link connection, you can understand her naivety in the situations she gets caught up in. I liked Zoe as a character and found her to develop well considering the situations she was put in and that she couldn't let any one know she was glitching. 

Max is Zoe's friend, and I have no intention of giving any of the story away, so the only thing I can say about him is that I didn't like him. He was a well written character, who I believe you really aren't meant to like. 

The world building was well done, I had no problems picturing the situations and locations, nor the world that it was. 

I made the mistake of holding out to write this review until after I have read Override so I could write and publish both around the same time. My lack of notes on this one isn't helping either. It is also difficult to discuss the story without giving anything away. So the only thing I can say is if you like dystopian based novels, give this a whirl. I enjoyed it, it well written, and the following book, Override, was even better. ;)

I have The 5th Wave as my second pick today as it was one I was waiting on but I did get to post it, and now I'm not really "waiting" on it per-say as I have been approved on Netgalley to read it. =D

Dare You To is in the same situation as The 5th Wave. I wanted to read it, but hadn't read Pushing the Limits yet and so it wasn't featured as a WoW post but I recently finished Pushing The Limits (review to come) and loved it. When I saw Dare You To available on Netgalley I just had to request it and I got approved. So while I'm not really "waiting" on it, I haven't read it yet, therefore it can be featured today as well. =P

Top Ten Auto-Buy Authors

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This weeks topic is Top Ten Auto-Buy Authors
In no particular order:

I read The Harvesting for a blog tour and I'm so glad I did. This is one of my favourite reads this year. I absolutely loved it and if Melaine's first book is like this they can only get better, right? So of course she would make this list.  











Marissa Meyer was always going to make this list. I adored Cinder last year and loved Scarlet even more this year. I'll read anything she wishes to write. 










Kate Avelynn was another debut author I read at the end of last year that I absolutely loved. Her writing took me on an emotional roller-coaster. I'll happily read other books of hers. 

Yet another new author, Alexandra Bracken, I read last year that I loved the writing style and loved the book. I can see me loving anything she puts out. 










Stephen King has been a favourite author of mine since I was a teenager. I haven't read everything he has written, but I've read a lot and I'm never disappointed.

Another debut author, Brigid Kemmerer, that I read last year and adored. While I haven't read the second book I have it and I'm sure I'll love it, along with anything else Brigid writes.  

 I haven't read the Iron Fey series, though I have it, but I loved The Immortal Rules and The Lost Prince. I'm sure when I get around to reading the her other books my view on Julie's writing wont change.

 

I have loved Sophie Kinsella for many years and her books never disappoint. I read her last release I have your number and it was fantastic. I'll always love her books. 









I have read the first two books in Rebecca Lim's Mercy's series and I enjoy her writing style. I have the last two books to read, but I'm sure she wont disappoint. 











I have recently finished Pushing the Limits, and Katie McGarry is definitely on my favourite authors list. This book was fantastic. 










I look forward to seeing all your answers, and getting to add more great authors to my TBR pile!! =D

Mary surprised Joe by knocking his arms away. She was stronger than she looked. Then she swept her legs off the bed and sprang to her feet. She took two steps and turned to face him as if to prove there was nothing wrong with her. But there was definitely something wrong. She wavered a moment. Her already white face turned ghostly. Her eyelids trembled. She seemed to realize she was becoming faint, and what that meant. “I’m fine,” she said. “You don’t have to go.”Joe got ready to catch her in case she fell, but somehow she held herself steady. “It’s okay,” Joe said. “Just sit down. I will go find some food.”Joe inched toward her. He was afraid to grab her again because she might try to wrench free once more and really fall. When she coughed, her little shoulders jerked and her round stomach jumped. Her head was drooped low and her hair hung down so he couldn’t see her face at all. “Come on, lay down,” Joe said.She didn’t move. Joe stepped toward her, but before he could put his arms around her, she tilted forward and rested the crown of her head against his chest. He slid his arms along the sides of her hard belly and around her waist. Then he shifted her toward the bed again. She moved like a bundle of empty sacks in his arms.
