Feature & Follow #6

Feature and Follow Friday is host by Parajunkee and Allison Can Read and give bloggers a topic to discuss each week while discovering new blogs.

Q: What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?

The whole Twilight series. I've read them all and don't get what the hype was about. Sorry to all the fans.

Feature & Follow #5

Feature and Follow Friday is host by Parajunkee and Allison Can Read and give bloggers a topic to discuss each week while discovering new blogs.

Q: What are you reading right now? How do you like it?

Currently I'm reading Crewel by Genniger Albin. I'm only 12% through it and although loads of people love this, I'm struggling to get interested in it. I have a lot of uni work over the coming weeks and exams in Nov so it might not be the book, it might be me stressing out. I'll see when I get this current essay out of the way.

Feature & Follow Friday #3

Q: Worst cover? What is the worst cover of a book that you've read and loved?.

That's a hard one. I can't think of the worst cover but the two that I can think of because they are inaccurate and bother me come to mind. Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa because the girl on the cover isn't Asian, but the main character of the book is of Asian descent. A similar thing for One Breath Away by Heather Gudenkauf as the girl on the cover looks much younger than a 13 yr old.

I still love the books, but I'm sorry to say, the covers could have been better. =(

Feature & Follow Friday #2

Q: What blogger inspires you? It can be any kind, it doesn't have to be a book blog.

I only really follow book blogs and as I'm relatively new to blogging it makes it hard to pick just a few, when there are so many. The lovely Kat and Stephanie (and now Archer!) (Cuddlebuggery Book Blog) and Taneika (Flipping Through The Pages) were the first that I started following, which lead me to start blogging too. Others that have, and continue to inspire me are Giselle (Xpresso Reads), Wendy Mocha ღ Latte (Cupcake and a Latte), Ashleigh Paige (The YA Kitten), Loretta (Between The Pages) and Wendy (The Midnight Garden). I love them because of their honesty, content, blog designs, and friendliness. Of course I continue to come across more great bloggers and it would be impossible if I tried to list every one, but in the general course of visiting blogs there is something that can be learnt from all bloggers out there, especially when you're a newbie like me. =)

Friday Book Blogger Hop #4

This hop is hosted by Jen from Crazy for Books, Thanks Jen!

This weeks question:

When a book goes “viral” (Hunger Games, Fifty Shades, Twilight), do you rush out to read it like everyone else, even if it’s not in your typical genre?

No, not generally. The Hunger Games was probably the only exception and it was because I don't like to see a movie until after I have read the book. I really wanted to see the movie so I read the trilogy a couple of weeks before the movie. The Hunger Games is a genre that I read though.

What about you? Leave me a link to your answer or post it in the comments! I'd love to hear your answer. =)

Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?

I wouldn't say my reading habits change based on my mood. I find I go through genre phrases where I'll read a lot of one genre, then switch to another. I also have to see what book I feel like reading. Sometimes I can pick up one book and find I can't get into it so I switch to something else. Then when I try that first book again at another time I can read it and love it.
