This was another book that I had read positive praise for and one of the bloggers I follow absolutely loved it. I wasn't sure if it would be for me or that I'd like it. I'm happy to say that it was a nice quick, easy and enjoyable read. 

The story is about Charlotte and what she refers to as her "Need". Charlotte isn't a bad character and is likeable enough and easy to connect with. Both Charlotte's character and her need are well written. You are able to feel and understand why she wants to fight her fate.

It would have been nice to have more focus on her need, to understand where it came from and why, and to understand why one person deserves help instead of another person just as deserving. 

Charlotte's love interest, Harlin, wasn't a character I got attached too. He wasn't overly explored or developed and that may be part, but I don't think Charlotte and Harlin where 'right' together either. They didn't talk much, the romance was plain and boring. I wouldn't have missed it if it wasn't there. Maybe that's just me? 

The later half of the story came together better then the first half, and the build up to the ending was dramatic. The ending itself makes me want to read the sequel just to see what develops. 

If you want a quick easy read that is different then you should give this one a try.
