"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Expected publication: April 30th 2013
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books
Sixteen-year-old Ren is a daredevil mobile racer who will risk everything to survive in the Ward, what remains of a water-logged Manhattan. To save her sister, who is suffering from a deadly illness thought to be caused by years of pollution, Ren accepts a secret mission from the government: to search for a freshwater source in the Ward, with the hope of it leading to a cure.
However, she never expects that her search will lead to dangerous encounters with a passionate young scientist; a web of deceit and lies; and an earth-shattering mystery that’s lurking deep beneath the water’s rippling surface.
That cover is epic and I love dystopia. This one sounds good.
What's your Waiting on Wednesday book this week?
This one is on a lot of blogs. I think it is because it sounds so different than what else is out there right now. Great choice!

This one sounds great, but I keep getting disappointed by environemntal dystopians because I'm an Environmental Geography student and the science never adds up! I'll definitely read this though because it does sound awesome :)

I'm slowly coming around to the dystopian drama, although I've definitely been disappointed with a few I've read. I think I'll wait to see reviews of this before deciding to read it or not, but it definitely has potential!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WoW!
